Learning to be passionate about research, language, history, ancient history unlocks a child's intellectual and independent mind. 

Languages expand the mind as much as learning a musical instrument; here at The Book Cabin we offer assistance in a fun and non-stuffy way to learn. 

We encourage a child to be free in expression, respectful in presenting their ideas, and communicating in a vibrant and open-minded manner. Languages are meant to be spoken, lived, loved, and be fun! A vibrant, exciting new skill to encourage exploration of other cultures, ideas, and open mindedness. 

Forget dry and uninspiring textbooks; at The Book Cabin we speak, act, laugh. We hope we make silly mistakes that help us along the way to learning something new; a skill that will stay with you forever. A language once learned and loved, can never be forgotten.

No-one puts their hand up in The Book Cabin classes!  

Speak out your answer, learn respectful discussion; to listen and hear, to disagree, to open your mind, to see another point of view, to expand your mind and knowledge.  

Teacher led discussions in another language, to really learn the skill to communicate, hold conversations and learn a new language! No-one puts their hand up in real life.  The skill is to listen, hold discussions and conversations where everyone has a chance to contribute.  

Good for developing advanced listening skills and conversational skills. 

To have respectful and vibrant conversations.... all in a foreign language!  

How many times have I heard, "Latin is a dead language"...this is a sad message given to students. A language full of vibrancy, beauty, musicality. A language that has formed the structures of all our modern languages today.  A language proven to stretch the brain and evoke creativity, artistry and beauty.

A language of art and science, of biology, of culture, of music, of exploration and all modern Latin languages we still speak today. 

Forget the dry methodology some teachers employ to make Latin so boring!  Forget sentence structures and monotonous lists. At The Book Cabin we speak the language and see how vibrant, alive and easy it is to learn!

Greek is the foundational language of maths!

Great philosophers like Pythagoras, who was much more interesting than A squared plus B squared = C squared! 

Learn about his life and how he has influenced most modern mathematics to this day. 

Learn about all the famous philosophical mathematicians from ancient Greece.  The Greeks were great thinkers & explorers of understanding our world, an unlocking of codes to the stars and planets!  No tests here!
